Fort Collins, CO | The Platte River Power Authority Office Campus encompassed 97,200 SF of new construction, including a 55,000 SF headquarters building that sits on a 17-acre lot. This Headquarters building consists of two wings. Each wing is two stories in height and the wings are interconnected by a full height atrium. In addition, the revitalization scope included rerouting, extending, and the removal of critical infrastructure for all campus buildings and the emergency transmission site while maintaining uninterrupted service. This project scope also includes numerous new outbuildings including: Pool Car Garage, Warehouse, Maintenance Shop, Vehicle Storage and Garages.
FCI also relocated and enlarged the existing retention pond, as well as added an additional detention pond. A geothermal system was installed that uses the on-site ponds to heat and cool the building. The ponds is used to absorb or reject heat from the pipe loops to keep them at a constant temperature that is then returned to the building.
