Parker Fire District Headquarters
Parker, CO

The structure of this new office building is steel post and beam over caissons and grade beams, with structural studs and steel joists.  The exterior finishes include brick veneer and cast stone panels that allow the building to fit in with the others in the area.  The interior finishes consist of the same brick and cast stone continued inside the building from outside as well as ceramic tile, oak woodwork, brass and granite accents.  Outside, the landscaping consists of naturally occurring grasses, with trees and shrubs that are sustained by a low water usage drip irrigation system, rather than high-volume sprinkler heads.  The building was designed with future expansion in mind, and may eventually be part of a municipal campus consisting of community service operations from both the Fire District and Douglas County.  At project completion, and after additional work items were incorporated into the project, FCI returned over $52,000 to the Owner.
