Glenn A Jones MD Memorial Library
Johnstown, CO
The new library in the Town of Johnstown, completed in February of 2005, was a welcome addition to the rapidly growing community. The 13,750 square foot building has a caisson and grade beam foundation with steel and wood framing. The exterior consists of metal siding with CMU, brick and stone veneer accents. The building houses areas for teens, Spanish-speaking patrons, as well as a large children’s pavilion. FCI performed several rounds of value engineering during pre-construction to keep the project within budget and still meet the community’s expectations.
