Mod 4 West Parking Structure at Denver International Airport
Denver, CO

This new structure is ground level plus four supported levels of parking and accommodates over 1,700 cars, with additional surface parking for 1,179 vehicles. Attached to the south side of the existing West Parking Structure by bridges at Levels 4 & 5, the new structure is essentially its twin, with precast concrete columns, beams, exterior panels and twin tees over drilled piers. A glass enclosed elevator lobby and widespread signage direct passengers and visitors to the main terminal.
Close to forty percent of the entire contract value for construction consists of costs related to the concrete integrated into the structure. From the extensive sidewalks, curbs, gutters, roadways and driveways, the massive foundations and retaining walls, to each level’s topping slab, this new structure contains over 11,500 cubic yards of poured in place concrete in addition to over 2,100 individual pieces of structural and architectural precast! A tribute to the efficiency and convenience of concrete, the new parking structure has become a welcome addition to Denver’s residents and visitors.
