Wayne Carle Middle School

The last project under the 2004 bond program, this new Middle School for Jeffco Schools is located just northeast of Standley Lake in Westminster.  The school was designed and built with several sustainable elements including extensive daylighting with sunshades, an ice storage system to assist in building temperature control, and the use of recycled content and low-emission materials.  The 98,908 SF structure is steel and masonry with metal panel and masonry exterior.  The 30-acre site also accommodates two ball fields and a large multipurpose athletic field.  This new school is one of twelve projects FCI Constructors has completed for the Jefferson County School District since 1995.
