Fruita 8/9 School

This new 104,000 square foot, single-story school for the Mesa County Valley School District was a packaged contract with the similar new Bookcliff Middle School. The Fruita School is a load-bearing masonry and steel structure on a concrete footing and round steel pile foundation system. The school’s construction includes a full kitchen and gymnasium along with classrooms and administrative spaces. The site work entailed development of over 18 acres and included a football field, basketball court and running track. Completed in 12 months, the school was ready for students before fall semester began.
