Renaissance Riverfront Lofts
Denver, CO
This four-story, wood-framed residence is a rental housing property for low-income and homeless individuals owned by the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless. The 101-unit building also includes a laundry, management suites, community room, exercise area, counseling center and technology lab. Built on an extremely tight 1.43 acre site, surrounded by a mixed-use development, the Platte River and the railroad, the parking amenities are located under the residences in the form of a cast-in-place concrete structure with space for 65 vehicles. The mechanical system and materials incorporated into the building comply with sustainable building practices, and the building will generate much of its own electricity needs from the photo-voltaic grid positioned on the roof. The building’s exterior consists of brick, cementitious siding and metal wall panels.
