Monument Hall Dormitory at Mesa State College
Grand Junction , CO
This three-story, 47,000 sf residence hall was constructed on a city lot with a driven piling foundation system. The structure was cast-in-place concrete structural floor, steel beams and columns, steel joists and metal deck. The exterior walls are comprised of face brick veneer and exterior finish system on steel stud back-up beneath a ballasted EPDM and metal panel roof system. A gypsum wallboard system makes up the partitions. Mechanical systems included plumbing, fire protection and HVAC. Electrical systems included service and distribution outlets, devices, lighting, telephone conduit systems and a fire alarm and detection system.
