July 2008: FCI Constructors was selected as the CM @Risk contractor for the New Avondale Northwest Public Safety Facility located at Estrella Mountain Community College. The $6.0 million facility is approximately 18,000 square feet and is currently in programming. Construction start is scheduled for January 2009.

June 2008: The City of Phoenix selected FCI as their Design Builder for their New Fire Station No. 72 located in North Phoenix. This is our fifth fire station project with the City of Phoenix. This $4.5 million two bay station is currently in schematic design and is going for Gold LEED Certification.

June 2008: FCI recently began construction on the New Glendale Fire Station No. 151 project. This $4.7 million CM@Risk project is a (4) four bay fire station and replaces the existing Glendale Fire Station No. 1.  The station is located in downtown Glendale and is scheduled for completion in March 2009.

June 2008: Our Longmont Office welcomes the following new members of our team: Chris Koochel (Estimating Intern), Erik Henry (Estimator), Jon Riese (Project Engineer), Tony Seidling (Project Superintendent), Taylor Knapp (Operations Intern), and David Broxterman (re-joining us full time as an Office Engineer).

June 2008: Joining our Wyoming operation recently are: William Dohogne, Tyler Traggorth, Dylan Buller and Jason Dill (Interns), Brian Banister (Project Superintendent), Travis Johnson and Greg Mumm (Field Engineers). Welcome!

June 2008: The Laramie County Library project in Cheyenne was just awarded with LEED Gold Certification! Squeaking past the Silver level by two points, this project is only the second in the state of Wyoming to reach LEED Certification. The Library was also recognized as the Gale/Library Journal's Library of the Year - out of all libraries in the country! Congratulations to the Laramie County Library System on the monumental achievement.

May 2008: FCI Constructors was chosen as the CM/GC for the new Residence Hall at Colorado State University in Pueblo. This 250-bed project will be the first phase of the University's dorm projects included within their master plan. The project is set to be complete in August 2009.

April 2008: The Town of Parker recently selected FCI as the CM/GC for their new Public Safety Building! Still in the programming phases, we are working with the Town and the Design Team to help design and construct the perfect building! Expected to be sustainably-designed, the construction should begin in 2009.

March 2008: The Laramie County School District #1 in Cheyenne has chosen FCI to build two more elementary schools within their district. The approximately $24 million package of the Rossman and Saddle Ridge Elementary Schools are currently in the pre-construction phases with construction starts anticipated later in the summer.

March 2008: The Pinon Unified School District selected FCI as their CM@Risk contractor for their 2008 Capital Improvements project. The $ 3.0 million is well under way with the renovations to the existing facilities. The new athletic facilities and ball fields will begin August 1, 2008 and the project is scheduled to complete in December 2008

March 2008: Four of our just-finished projects have been selected for the Building of America Award for 2008, by Real Estate & Construction Review. The DIA Mod 4 West Parking Structure, the Routt County Justice Center, Borick Hall of Business at Western State College of Colorado, and the Riverside Middle School in New Castle, Colorado will be showcased in the next RE&CR publication due out this year!

January 2008: Keeping busy in Cheyenne! Our Wyoming office will begin construction of the new 74,000 square foot office building for Frontier Refining this month. The $15,000,000 project will reach completion in January of 2009.
