February 2010: Congratulations to Project Engineers Boden Abbott and Troy Sergesketter, and Project Superintendent Shawn Merrill (all in our Durango office), for achieving LEED Accredited status! FCI now has 28 LEED Accredited Professionals throughout the company!
February 2010: FCI Constructors was named Second Largest General Contractor in Northern Colorado by Northern Colorado Business Report!
October 2009: Two of FCI's projects received recognition at the ABC Excellence in Construction Awards program: the new Frontier Refining Office Building was presented with the Award of Merit in the Commercial $10-25 million category, and our Building 500 Renovation project at the Anschutz Medical Campus won a Certificate of Commendation in the Renovation $10-100 million category!
October 2009: Our most recent affordable housing project in Denver, the Renaissance Riverfront Lofts, has received two more awards! Colorado Construction Magazine's Gold Hard Hat for Outstanding Multi-Family Project, and Affordable Housing Finance Magazine's Reader's Choice in the Green Category!
September 2009: FCI's Cheyenne office was successful in procuring our fifth project with the Laramie County School District #1 - the Nutritional Services and Facilities project will begin in November.
July 2009: Colorado Construction Magazine has named FCI Constructors the General Contractor of the Year! Based upon our innovations in the field, our commitment to sustainability, and our dedication to our employees! Read about us in the July issue.
July 2009: FCI's recent project for the Colorado Bureau of Investigation has been nationally recognized by Associated Builders and Contractors for Excellence in Construction with the 2009 National Eagle Award in the $10-25 million, commercial category! This design-build project is over 38,000 SF and includes investigative offices, forensics/crime lab and firing range.
July 2009: Our third major project for Laramie County Community College will begin in October. Awarded this month, our pre-construction efforts will begin on the Dining Hall addition on the Cheyenne campus. The complex undertaking is a $5 million, phased demolition, addition and renovation to be completed while school is in session!
June 2009: Congratulations to our newest LEED Accredited Professionals: Greg Mumm, Project Engineer, Rex Adams, Superintendent, Shane Haas, VP of Western Slope Operations, and Steve Walker, Superintendent. Great work!
June 2009: FCI was the successful bidder on the Institute for Behavioral Science at CU- Boulder. The $8,300,000, LEED Gold project will commence in July and be completed by July of 2010. Our Longmont estimating team was also successful in the procurement of two additional projects: the Meridian Bank Addition in Cheyenne, and the Southeast Facility Upgrades for Denver Public Schools.
April 2009: FCI's Cheyenne office was successful in the pursuit of the Central Wyoming College Intertribal Education and Community Center in Riverton. The $4,500,000 project will begin pre-construction phases this month, and construction is expected to be completed in summer of next year.
April 2009: Our recently completed Academic Classroom Building for Mesa State College in Grand Junction just received LEED® GOLD Certification. Pursuit of certification didn't begin until after construction was underway, but our team met the challenge! Congratulations to Kirby Lloyd, Project Manager, Bruce Helm, Superintendent, Heather Miears, Project Engineer and the rest of the crew who made this project's sustainability goals a reality!
April 2009: According to the April issue of Colorado Construction Magazine, FCI Constructors has been ranked as the Second Largest General Contractor in Colorado! Based upon Colorado revenues, we are up nine spots from last year's ranking.
